expository preaching
Colossians 1:9-10: "And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God."
The Word preached, rather than the preaching of the Word, accomplishes heaven’s purposes. Preaching that is true to Scripture converts, convicts, and eternally changes the souls of men and women because God’s Word is the instrument of divine compulsion, not because preachers have any power in themselves to stimulate such godly transformations. —Byran Chapell. Expository preaching is the faithful work of exalting God by teaching the Scriptures verse by verse, chapter by chapter, and book by book. This is the goal in our weekly gatherings as the church: present God’s Word and trust the Holy Spirit to bring about conviction, repentance, and transformation towards greater Christ-likeness. How will we know unless we hear, and how will we grow unless we know God more through the proclamation his authoritative Word?

ADULT EQUIP CLASSES
Wednesday nights throughout the year are divided up into five 8-week sessions. Each session you will have the opportunity to sign up for a new class. Ephesians 4:11-13 says "And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God." Our Goal is to provide you with the theological & practical knowledge necessary to live out your faith daily. As our preaching is primarily exegetical & expository through a book of the Bible, typically the Equip Classes tend to be more topical in nature. You are welcome to try out any class at any time, even in the middle of a session!
